Quality Engineer

You lead the local Quality team and provide the necessary consultation to carry out the annual action plan.
You enhance, improve and release the processes, procedures and work instructions in compliance with the standard ISO 9001:2015 and monitor consistency. Furthermore you support the external certification in relation to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Tasks
  • Follow up of specific quality objectives based on company/BU goals and prepare an annual action plan to achieve these goals and ensure their implementation.
  • You facilitate and stimulate improvement projects to our internal processes and chair improvement teams. 
  • It’s your responsibility to follow-up and analyse the external and internal claims/complaints and customer satisfaction measurements. 
  • Defining the corresponding corrective and preventive measures in collaboration with the process owners. You review and follow up all action in the CAR (Corrective Action Request) data base. 
  • The assessment of the effectiveness of the corrective measures taken is part of your task. 
  • You prepare an internal audit plan every year and ensure that it is carried out by the audit team. 
  • You collect, report and communicate Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as Customer Complaint Rate (CCR), First Pass Yield (FPY), etc.
  • You play an active role in drawing up and implementing the change management program in order to allow the Q policy to be experienced in the organization. You draw up a plan on the transition from the current 'as is' processes to the 'to be' processes and follow this up (e.g. mapping risk management).

Requirements
  • Profound knowledge in Management Systems as ISO 9001:2015 and state-of-the-art quality problem solving tools as 8D, A3, Fishbone, 5-Why methodologies; preferably Six-Sigma Black Belt
  • Qualified Internal Auditor ISO 9001:2015, preferably Lead (3rd party) auditor.
  • University degree in Quality management/mechanical/electrical engineering or equal. 
  • 2-5 years’ experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
  • Experience in logistics or related branches and project/ manufacturing environment
  • Skilled in Troubleshooting and resolving problems
  • Result oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Native Flemish/Dutch and Business Fluent in English and preferably in another European language
  • You keep yourself constantly informed of evolutions in the field of quality and bring yourself up-to-date in the light of the new developments in order to strengthen your credibility by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.
  • You are highly motivated/ enthusiastic and act as a coach. You support and guide employees by facilitating training, coordinating training needs, supporting career coaching, and organizing performance valuation
